AVE’s wheels are fast, rigid and can withstand the rigors of freestyle riding, be it park, dirt or street. Rider tested for more than three years, they feature a straight-pull spoke design that boosts lateral rigidity and wheel strength while reducing weight.

The hubs are fully CNC-machined and feature 10- and 14-millimeter chromoly axles that roll on super-smooth sealed bearings. Extra-large, 22-millimeter front and 25-millimeter rear axle flanges create a substantial clamping surface between the hub and the dropouts, further reducing lateral flex of the entire bike. Straight-pull spokes are approximately 30 percent stronger than J-bend spokes and there are no hub flanges to break.

They come in all-black or Wild Eye graphics with black or white rims and include six extra spokes. Replacement spokes also are sold separately.

• 32 stainless steel straight-pull, triple-butted spokes with 3-cross lacing front and rear. This is comparable in strength to a 36-hole, J-bend, 4-cross lacing wheel.
